Merry Christmas!!

Phew!  When we woke up this morning, it was quite a relief to find that Santa had been!!  The girls were very spoilt.  Lauren got the G-shock watch she wanted and Taylor got a camera.  They even got a small stocking full of goodies too.  Lucky girls!
See- we even had a Christmas tree!

We had decided that today would be a good day to do the Big Bus tour around San Francisco, so after we got up and got ready, we headed to Boudins for breakfast.  They are a famous bakery, famous for sourdough bread.  It was delicious.

We loved watching them making the different animals

Omelette in a sourdough bowl

We headed to our bus, waiting on the opposite corner.  Thankfully the rain was holding off so we headed upstairs and got perfect seats, right at the front.  Even though we had been driving around, the tour was a good way for Bry to see everything.  Here's some pics...

Columbus Inn- where we stayed

The famous "Stinking Rose"-garlic restaurant
City Hall- where Marilyn Monroe and Joe diMaggio got married
Haight-Ashbury.  Peace!!!
Summer of Love
Lauren loved all the Peace signs.

The TransAmerica Building

One sad part was driving through the Tenderloin and seeing a queue right along the street and then around the corner and up the hill of homeless people, waiting for their Christmas meal.  The girls were also affected by the homeless sleeping in doorways, covered in bags and trying to keep warm and dry.

The Golden Gate Bridge

We decided to walk up one side of Lombard so we could walk down the otherside...
May have sore glutes tomorrow!

The windiest street in the world.

Tay at Taylor Street!
We headed back down towards Fishermans Wharf and decided to catch the cable car back into Union Square.

When we got into the city it started pouring with rain so we lined up to catch the cable car straight back again.  We then went for a drive around, couldn't find anywhere open for dinner so went to IHOP where we had a mediocre dinner and then headed back to pack up for our departure tomorrow.  More from Cambria tomorrow. xxxx
