Back to the DIsney Parks

This morning we had a Magic Morning pass that came with our Disney tickets.  Disneyland officilly opened at 9am, but we were able to enter and ride some rides at 8am.  We were up a little too late so grabbed a coffee as we walked past Mimis, and got to the park at 7.50am.  What a difference it made, having that extra hour.  We walked straight onto Star Tours (amazing simulator ride in 3D) and Space Mountain (I'm feeling very proud of myself as I have done ALL the big rides except for California Screaming...and I'm normally a wimp) and then had a little wait for the Matterhorn(a very bumpy, jolty rollercoaster type ride).  3 normally very busy rides in an hour.  Not bad.

We then lined up for Autopia (a ride where kids can drive a car around bends, off road etc).  This was probably our biggest line of the day...due to slow loading.

After this, we split up.  Mum and I went to get Fastpasses for Indiana Jones, while Bry took the girls to the Finding Nemo ride.  We had enough time for me to race over to Disney California to get Fastpasses for Radiator Springs Racers again.

When we met up again, it was time for brunch...then it was off to Indiana Jones with our fastpasses.  Mum came with us this time...most impressed with her for giving it a go.

We lined up to meet some of Tinkerbells friends and then we ventured over to DCA for the Phineas and Ferbs dance party.  They were lots of fun.

It was time for Radiator Springs racers.  Thank goodness for fastpasses.  Our wait was 15 minutes, compared to the standby line of 105 minutes.  We talked Mum into coming on it this time and she loved it!

We had a look around It's a Bugs life and then Bry and Lauren went on the Tower of Terror.  Mad!!!!  They were fizzing.  We stopped and watched a Disney Junior show and a fantastic Muppet 3D show.  By this time it was getting colder so we headed back to Disneyland to get our bag with our coats that we had left in a locker.

Just as we arrived, the Disney Soundsational Parade started.  We loved it!!!! We were right in the front and got lots of attention from the performers.

By now it really was quite chilly, and we had been on the go for 10 hours, so we headed out, stopped in at Mimi's for dinner (I had a yummy traditional turkey dinner) and then collapsed in our room.  Gotta say, I'm about ready for bed, and it's just gone 9pm.

Tomorrow...Hollywood and surrounds.

  2. I so wish I was there with you! You should get all your photos made in to a book. Plus, TMac, in term 1 we will be looking @ collections, I'm sure the class would love to see some of your American things. (Plus, all that candy made my mouth water)
