Universal Studios

Our plan for today was to hit the road and drive the 1 hour drive up to Universal Studios.  We hit a little bit of bumper to bumper traffic as we drove through downtown LA but got there in about 1 hr 10 mins, so not too bad.
Downtown LA

I have to say again...this really is the best time to visit...the queues really are minimal

We had a great time...we all commented that it's definitely not as friendly and clean as Disney, but I don't think anywhere is.
We started off with the studio tour which was great... it's amazing how things are done.  The King Kong 3D part of the tour was incredible!!!  I' would have loved to do it again, but another hour taken out of the day was a bit long.  We also experienced flash floods, an earthquake (gee, ta...we didn't know what they felt like!) and a scary tunnel ride.
They were even filming Revenge as we went around.  We couldn't see any of the actors, but for those who watch the programme, they were filming a scene on Jacks boat!

Revenge!
We then headed down to the lower level to try out some of the rides.  My absolute favourite was here...Jurassic Park, a ride that puts other water rides I've done to shame.  Awesome!  We did this 3times.  Bry and Lauren loved Transformers 3D and went on it twice.
