"We're on the top of the world..."

After checking out this morning, we headed into Palm Springs for breakfast.  Everyone had recommended Pinocchio's so we went there.

"How am I going to eat all this, Mum?"  Not bad for $6.99....and no, she certainly didn't eat it all.

When we had finished eating what we could, we took a couple of photos of things we had seen the previous night.

Before we left Palm Springs, there was on more thing we wanted to do...the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway.
It was a 10 minute ride in a revolving gondola type thing that took you basically from the desert, right to the top of one of the mountains there.  It was amazing.  It actually travelled really quickly, and once you were up the top, the view was amazing.  Photos don't really do it justice.

It really was stunning up the top.  Families were taking sleds up for the kids to play with, there were snowball fights all around.  The view really was what you imagine it would be like in the USA mountains.  It was a great thing to do.

We spent the rest of the day driving down to San Diego.  Bry was amazed at the 8 lane freeways here...and some of the crazy driving going on.  After we checked into our accommodation, we decided to drive down and have a look at the US/Mexico border.  As luck would have it, there were factory outlets right on the border....not sure how we're planning on getting everything home.

Anyway, off to bed.  It's 10.25pm here and we have a busy couple of days ahead.
