Oops...too lazy to sit down and blog last night, so here I am, a day late.
We had a bit of a lie in and then headed towards the strip. We made a slight detour to have a look at a couple of shops and then we drove and parked in the carpark of Caesars Palace. What an amazing place.
I have to say, I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the strip, only hours after over 300,000 people had celebrated the New Year. Not a lot of rubbish around at all.

We had a good look around and then headed to The Bellagio. Their Christmas display was still up and it was incredible.

By this time we were starving, so we set off to find somewhere tasty. Everywhere was busy, being the 1st of January (the wait at Serendipity 3 was 1 1/2 hrs ) so we headed in to the Planet Hollywood casino and saw Gordon Ramsey's "Burgr". We only had to wait 1/2 an hour. It was well worth the wait. Yum!!!

My Euro burger...grilled over apple and alderwood, cooked medium, with trufflr aioli, goats cheese, arugala and oven roasted tomato. Delicious!! |
I cashed in my whole $8.64 voucher that I had won while we were waiting and then we headed out.
The girls were really keen to go up the Eiffel Tower at Paris casino so Bry decided he would take them up while Mum and I had a go at the pokies. I put $10 in one machine and won $60 and another $10 in another machine and won $35, so I was quite happy. Mum came out even.

Looking up at where Bry and the girls went. |
By this stage Bry and the girls were back so we went and had a coffee and then headed back to the car.

It was 5.00 by now so we timed it perfectly for the Bellagio water show. It was lovely.
When we got back to the car we decided we would head down to Fremont St to see the light show. Have to say that Fremont St isn't a nice place compared to the strip. Very sleazy. However, the light show on the roof was a lot of fun.
