We've covered all bases at DCA

I'm sitting here in California's winter....and I'm sitting in 26 degrees, outside by the pool area watching the girls have a play in all the water areas.  Such a hard life.  I haven't downloaded today's photos yet, because we are heading back to Disney, but I thought I'd post a bit of a run down of the day so far and add photos later.

Last night we worked out all the things we haven't done at the 2 parks and decided to use today to try to get them all done.  People who only come for a couple of days during peak season must miss out on so much, as today was our 5th day in the park, and we still had lots to do.

We started off by entering DCA and collecting fast passes for Radiator Springs racers and World of Colour.  We then headed over to Disneyland and started off by seeing lots more Princesses, including Merida.  We also went on Peter Pans flight which was a lovely ride over London and off to Neverneverland.  We had a walk through the castle and then caught the train around the park.

We were running out of time to use our fastpass so we headed over to Radiator Springs for our race.  Yay, today we won.  We all love this ride, and have now been on it 4 times.

We got ourselves some lunch and then went to the 3D show of It's a bugs life.  What a fun very interactive show!!  I can see why some little people get scared in it though, because it is very full on.  Amazing!

We headed to Turtle time with Crush, a great interactive show where you talk with the animated turtle Crush.  He spoke to Tay, and asked her where she was from and how we had got here...he didn't know about planes and was quite shocked when she told him we flew..."Woah...I didn't know that New Zealanders could fly!!!"  Very, very cute!

Anyway, must get these girls out and head back to Disney for another 3 1/2 hrs.  Back later.

Life is good!

Just back from an evening in Disney.  When we arrived in Disneyland, they were preparing for the nighttime parade, so Mum stayed to watch that and the rest of us went to Splash Mountain.  The girls were desperate to do it in the dark, and loved it.  There was no queue when we finished, so we just stayed on and had another ride.

We then headed back to Main Street and Bry joined Mum to watch the parade.  The girls and I headed over to Astro Blasters, where I kicked butt ;)  and then we went back and saw the end of the parade.

By this time it was time for us to head over to DCA to watch World of Colour (or Color as they spell it here).  This is an amazing water/light/music extravaganza.  It was fabulous.
